Overall description of edits/changes:
The English dub is drastically changed from the original, including names, dialog, and music. There is a 'tricked out' version of the video that has been heavily edited to add various special effects and video transitions. The subtitle script appears to tone down a pimp-hooker type relationship.DETAILED REPORT

Description of what effects the edits/changes had on the original story/plot (opinion)

The changes to the subtitles may not seem like much at first, but the relationship between Natsuki and her 'Papa-san' has major impacts on the story in future episodes (especially in season two).

The changes to the dub and the 'tricked out' video drastically change the story, plot, and characters to the point that it's almost a completely different show than the original.

 Detailed description of video edits

The DVDs released by TOKYOPOP have two versions of the video for the episodes contained on the discs, the original video and the 'tricked-out' video (which is is how TOKYOPOP refers to the edited video).

Original video: The video is as it appears on the original Japanese TV broadcast and R2 DVDs.

Tricked-out Video: The video has been heavily altered and edited to add various video effects and transitions, somewhat what you'd expect to see in a music video. Wipes, video montages, inverse negative, or mirror effects are just some of the techniques used to 'trick out' the video.

Detailed description of opening and ending changes

Original video: The original opening and endings are unedited, apparently with original kanji credits left as is.

Tricked-out Video: New openings and endings were made using various footage from the show and new music.

Detailed description of English subtitle changes
As of the first disc, the relationship between Natsuki and her lover/pimp has been softened to apparently make then seem like friends instead of a hooker and pimp. When 'Papa-san' is spoken, it is usually replaced with a simple 'you' or 'him'.
Detailed description of English dub changes

In addition to the changing of the relationship between Natsuki and 'Papa-san', the English dub changes a lot of the story and dialog to the point that it only rarely matches the subtitles and original dialog. A lot of the dialog in the English dub has been 'hipped' up to sound like you're in the 'hood'.

All of the original music and sound effects (including real engine sounds recorded for the Japanese track) have been replaced with new music and sound effects.

Detailed description of name and title changes
The English dub uses Americanized names or nicknames (such as “Cole”, “K.T.”, “Natalie”, and “Iggy.”) Instead of the original Japanese names.
