This is hard to admit and even harder to ask of visitors to my website.

I have ended up in a financial situation that will lead me to declaring bankruptcy and probably losing my home to foreclosure.

I'm barely able to scrape up money for food and to keep my minimal utilities on.

I'm not expecting anything, but if any of my fanfiction readers or No Edit Zone visitors would like to help out with any donations, I'd appriciate it.

All donations are confidential and can be sent to the following PayPal account: jim_ebay (AT) animeprime.com

After finishing the AMD outline I was uncertain if I would do the Birth of the Amazon Way and End of a Modern Dynasty outlines. But I found myself wanting to finish them off as well.

Fortunately, they were always meant to be shorter than AMD (although, in retrospect, AMD should have been separated into two books), so their outlines came together fairly fast. Unfortunately, they are really brief with only key scenes written out a bit where I had thought about specific dialog and events that I wanted to show.

So I now present the final Modern Dynasty story outlines: End of a Modern Dynasty and Birth of a Modern Way. Yes, they both have to be read to get the full story. And please read them in the order below for best effect. Since they were supposed to be written and released at the same time, there's some info in the start of EMD that feeds into the BAW outline and then that informs the end of EMD. Enjoy!

EMD Outline Part 1-2

BAW Outline

EMD Outline Part 3-4

It's been a long journey to get the regular chapters out and then go back and put out these outline to give some closure for my readers and for *ME*. So unless someone has a couple million dollars to give me to retire and write full time, these outlines will have to suffice.
I'd really appreciate it if those who are still following AMD in this outline form can email me and let me know. Every bit of encouragement helps.

And now, I present the final parts of the AMD outline!

AMD Outline Part 1-9

It's been a long journey to get the regular chapters out and then go back and put out this outline to give some closure for my readers and for *ME*. There were to be two follow up stories, which may or may not get put into outlines. I'd really appreciate it if those who are still following AMD in this outline form can email me and let me know. Every bit of encouragement helps.

Okay, I've added two more parts that, again, will radically reshape the story and Akane and Ranma's lives.

AMD Outline Part 1-7

This arc is the last very detailed part I've worked out. The rest of the story is less detailed in my outline and notes, not to mention in my mind. I'd really appreciate it if those who are still following AMD in this outline form can email me and let me know. Every bit of encouragement helps.

Okay, I've added a major arc into the outline that will make some major changes to the story going forward. Enjoy.

AMD Outline Part 1-5

This arc was one of the parts that I had thought out quite a bit, so I hope I'm able to continue the outline with at least part of the detail of this addition. I'd really appreciate it if those who are still following AMD in this outline form can email me and let me know. Every bit of encouragement helps.

Okay, I've added more to the outline. It moves into the early battles of the Task Force and some painful times for Akane.

Only 6 years since my last fanfiction update... sigh.

Anyway, since there was some desire from my old readers for the Adulthood of a Modern Dynasty outline, I have put together the first part of the outline. This part only covers the official formation of the Task Force, but I hope to expand on the events after that soon. Maybe I will try to get a major part out per month, but hard to tell.

Call to arms.

I've been following an Iowa case closely that involves a man being prosecuted for the simple act of buying a manga from Japan and daring to want to read it in the privacy of his own home. Under the Constitution shredding principle of 'community standards' he could face up to 20 years in prison for the possession of something many of us consider art and at least one prosecutor considers 'obscene'.

Read the excellent editorials at Anime News Network by Carl Horn and Jason Thompson.

Then, as I have, donate to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. They are helping fight this case to avoid this horrible attack on our freedom to read and watch what we wish, without interference from governments and aid organizations that are supposed to be saving REAL children.

You may not think it affects you, but United States publishers are already skittish enough in what they'll publish. If this man is convicted, they'll get even more paranoid and start editing more and more manga and anime, or not releasing some titles at all. Of course, that's what the prudes and narrow minded people want to happen. 'Community standards' is just a code word for wanting everyone to conform and live their lives as the prudes want them to.

Please don't let it happen in this so called 'free' nation.

Sadly, even the creation of manga and anime in Japan itself is under attack by governments and organizations that still can't tell the difference between real people and drawings. The New South Wales state supreme court in Australia has actually decided that cartoon characters are 'people' and should be protected as 'people' should be (although in that case, it's a Simpsons comic parody, not manga). And UNICEF is going after manga and anime in Japan instead of focusing on REAL starving, exploited, murdered, and enslaved children.

QUESTION FOR MY MODERN DYNASTY READERS: Sadly, I have come to realize that I probably will never be able to continue writing this long series. But, if there are still enough old readers interested, I could put together a rough outline of events leading up to the planned conclusion. It wouldn't be anything fancy and only touch on the major milstones, but it might help readers left hanging by my inability to continue the series as I have always hoped.

If you'd like to see such a rough outline of events, please let me know by emailing me at c o n t a c t u s [ a t ] a n i m e p r i m e . c o m

If I get enough interest, I'll whip it up from my notes and current crude outline.

NOTICE: With the website basically being in stasis for the past few years, I've decided I might have to shut it down at some point. So I'm looking for somewhere to archive or mirror the No Editing Zone and my Fanfiction pages (as two separate chunks, if needed). Initially, it would just mirror the directories and pages so the data will survive if I ever have to shut down animeprime.com (which I don't plan on doing in the near future, but I can for see the need one day).

If you have a website with spare space and would like to host the pages (about 14MB for the No Editing Zone and 25MB for my Fanfiction), please contact me at: c o n t a c t u s [ a t ] a n i m e p r i m e . c o m

You wouldn't own the data, but simply be a mirror and we'd both link to the other location. You can, of course, link to it from your other pages.

Also, anyone who would be interesting in totally talking over the No Editing Zone and expanding it/resurrecting it to actively reporting on edited anime/manga is more than welcome to contact me and discuss that possibility. Although anime and manga isn't edited as often as in the past, it's still happening. Unfortunately, real life issues has kept me from actively pursuing this important issue as much as I'd like. So I'd be willing to hand to baton over to someone with the same desire to prevent these needless edits to the anime and manga that many of us love as it is.

NEW MIRROR: Burntoutcomic.com has graciously offered to host a mirror of the main Animeprime website. The site (http://animeprime.burntoutcomic.com) is an archive mirror of the main Animeprime website (http://www.animeprime.com).

It is an archive of all No Editing Zone reports and all of Jim Lazar's Fanfiction. While there are currently no active updates being done to the main site, if and when there are any updates they will be posted on the main site first and the mirror will be updated when possible. If something happens to the main site and it is no longer available, my hope is that the mirror will stay available for people to continue enjoying my fanfiction and have access to the No Editing Zone's reports.
