NEW EDITING REPORT: Detective Conan Despite having some good, unedited releases, Funimation also has a darker side that isn't above editing anime to market it to a mass market that won't watch it anyway. Their latest casualty is Detective Conan which will be called Case Closed (reportedly for legal reasons) and feature a host of renamed characters (to appeal to bigoted Americans who can't stand foreign-sounding names). Read the editing report HERE or find it in the 'Full List' link.

4Kids gets their scissors on another anime Sadly, according to Animeondvd.com and Animenewsnetwork.com, 4Kids has licensed the Tokyo Mew Mew anime and will likely edit at least as much as their other anime titles. Their new name apparently will be 'Hollywood Mew Mew', which gives you a (bad) taste of what they will do to this title.
Shame on 4Kids, shame on the Japanese company that has no respect for their own product, and shame on any company that helps 4Kids sell their edited releases.

NEW EDITING REPORT: Yu-Gi-Oh! While we've know that Yu-Gi-Oh! is only being shown on TV and released on home video is an edited form, Scott Walker has sent in some details about the changes, which include the skipping of the entire first season of the anime. Read the editing report HERE or find it in the 'Full List' link.

UPDATED EDITING REPORT: Lupin III TV Series Thanks to a heads up from Serguei Rocha, it appears that the "Hitler's Legacy" episode that was skipped on the first disc due to fears about complaints, will finally be released on the fifth Lupin III TV series DVD. The disc is titled "Mission: Irresistible" and the episode is called "To Be, Or Nazi Be". Read the updated editing report HERE or find it in the 'Full List' link

NEW EDITING REPORT: Idol Fighter Su-chi-pai With additional information available, I've added an editing report for Idol Fighter Su-chi-pai. It's sad that Hirameki International's first North American release has to be edited. Read the editing report HERE or find it in the 'Full List' link.
NEW EDITING REPORT: Genma Wars According to a review on Anime Jump, somewhere along the line from it's Japanese broadcast to Media Blaster's release of Genma Wars, it was edited to remove most of the topless female nudity. Read the editing report HERE or find it in the 'Full List' link.

NEW EDITING INFO: Idol Fighter Su-chi-pai I'm not sure if this is a game or an anime or some combination of both so I won't put up an editing report for the time being, but the release of Idol Fighter Su-chi-pai from Hirameki International (a new name in anime releases) has been edited to remove all scenes with nudity.
NEW EDITING REPORT: His and Her Circumstances Unfortunately, the masters provided to Right Stuf were of the television broadcast version of His and Her Circumstances (Kare Kano). In addition to some changes to the episode 14 and 15 recap episodes, a pivotal scene in Episode 18 was expanded in the home video version. Sadly, Gainax/Enoki are not willing to provide the home video version to Right Stuf as of this news post. Read the editing report HERE or find it in the 'Full List' link.
EDITING ZONE UPDATE Sorry about the delay in update recently, but I'm still among the great unemployed masses and a lot of my free time is spent looking for a new job and studying for my CCNA exam. As you can see, I've tried to catch up with the major editing news in the past week. If you're aware of anything I missed, please let me know. Thanks.
