Thundercats Information: Thanks to some information from TenshiWings, I have removed the edited TV dub-only informational entry for Thundercats. I had my suspicions that it might be the case, but with this new information it now appears certain that Thundercats was made for the North American market only and was not shown in Japan. Hence, it isn't really anime and wasn't edited since it was made from the beginning to be shown on U.S. television.

Edited for Television Dub-only Information: As long as I was removing Thundercats, I decided to take the opportunity to update the list of other edited TV dub-only shows. As such, I've added Samurai Pizza Cats, Ronin Warriors, and Detective Boy Conan (recently acquired by Fox Family). Click the 'Edited TV Dub' link to the left to view all the anime titles that are only available as a edited TV dub. If you happen to know of other anime titles that should be listed as edited TV dub-only, please let me know at web animeprime.com. As always, your help is appreciated.

NEW EDITING REPORT! I have added an editing report for Rurouni Kenshin. It has information on the horribly hacked up Samurai X dub Sony made as well as various changes made by Media Blasters and ADV. NEW EDITING REPORT! I have added an editing report for Brain Powerd. Basically, the English DUB VHS version that Bandai released contains a completely new opening made to replace the original opening, which contained nudity. Read the editing report HERE or find it in the 'Full List' link.

Transformers Movie Update: according to several people in the Anime on DVD Forum, the recent Canadian and US releases of the Transformers Movie on DVD does appear to be the unedited version. I have updated the editing report accordingly.

Maze TV Information: I have received word from Frank Pannone of CPM concerning the TV version of Maze that they are currently releasing on VHS. I asked about the possibility of them obtaining the LD version (which contains various changed/added scenes involving fanservice) and releasing that version on DVD in the future. He indicated that the possibility IS being looked into by their business affairs department. Lets hope they can get it, because Maze was always intended to be a bit on the naughty side and the TV version just doesn't seem the same to me after seeing the LD version. If you want to help, please send a POLITE e-mail to cpm@centralparkmedia.com encouraging them to get the LD version for the DVD release. Unfortunately, it's very unlikely that they'll release it again on VHS.
