NEW EDITING REPORT: LOVE HINA
With the help of information provided by Phoenix, I've put together an editing report for Love Hina. Production IG/Bandai's release contains an English dub that has been considerably toned down from the original dialog. Read the editing report HERE or find it in the 'Full List' link.

Since Production IG was primarily responsible for the production of the English dub, those interested in preventing further occurrences of the toning down of dialog in English dub might want to post a POLITE note in Production IG's online forums HERE. Please be polite, but clear in your desire for an accurate English dub on their titles.

LOVE HINA DUB CHANGED: Reports are starting to come out about the Love Hina dub and it appears that the dub has been toned down from the original dialog. Considering how much of Love Hina's humor revolves around the sexual tension and situations between the characters, this is not a good thing (not that it ever is acceptable, but in this case it has the chance to totally change the show). When I can get my hands on a rental copy or get more information, I'll put together an editing report. In the meantime, I wanted to warn potential buyers of the Bandai disc that the dub has been edited.

NEW METROPOLIS INFO: One of the site's reader, Jason, has sent me an e-mail stating that he saw Metropolis in Chicago and the final picture after the credits was there. This is encouraging news for the DVD release.

MACROSS TV: After Macross TV came out from Animeigo, there were numerous discussions on AE's mailing list and other forums about some movie lines that were substituted for the original dialog. Accordingly, I've updated the information in the appropriate editing report to reflect this. Read the editing report HERE or find it in the 'Full List' link.

And one more thing... Anime´ Visitor Survey

G GUNDAM NEWS: There is some news circulating around that the G Gundam toys are being renamed to remove the original God Gundam and Devil Gundam names (among others).

Although there's no confirmation yet, this may affect the names used in the anime for its broadcast on Cartoon Network and home video release. Comments by Bandai's Charles McCarter on the Anime on DVD forums are not very encouraging.

Fans who are concerned about this should send a POLITE letter to fansupport@bandai-ent.com and express your preference for the ORIGINAL names to be used in G Gundam when it's released on home video.

NEW EDITING REPORT!
I've been meaning to do this for a while, but it wasn't until a reader reminded me (hint hint) about it that I got off my lazy ass and whipped up the editing report on TRIGUN. Pioneer's release only used one opening, while the Japanese release had 25 unique openings. Read the editing report HERE or find it in the 'Full List' link.

NEW EDITED TV DUB-ONLY ENTRY: I've added Zoids! to the edited TV dub-only list. No detailed report, just an informational entry for it. I did add a note about the Zoids being released in North America on Cartoon Network and by Pioneer as being the second season of the show. The first season is not available in English. It's listed in the 'TV Edit List' link.

CALLING ALL SNITCHES! If you know of an edited anime released in North America that's not on my list ( the 'Full List' or 'TV Edit List'), please drop me a line with the title and any details you have. I know there are some older titles I've probably never seen or overlooked, plus some of the newer edited TV dub-only releases sometimes slip under my radar (partially since they are usually aimed a t such a young audience, they don't appeal to me). Every little bit helps. E-mail me at web animeprime.com.

METROPOLIS EDITED? Although the Metropolis movie itself is unedited as far as I can tell, there appears to be a picture missing that was supposed to be shown after the credits. It may have been left off some (or all) of the theatrical prints by mistake (whoever put together the English credits might not have realized the picture was there in the original and just spliced the new credits onto the end of the film without the picture).

If anyone has any contacts with Columbia/Tristar, it would be very helpful if you can find out if the picture will be on the DVD or not (maybe it's not to late to get the picture restored the the DVD).

The picture can be found HERE (if you haven't seen the movie yet, the picture contains spoilers).
